Processes

Process innovation is generally seen - in contrast to incremental process improvement - as a radical, long-term and multi-disciplinary effort to innovate business processes from a clean slate. Cultural and structural changes are part of this innovation which is often enabled by new information technologies. Creating a new process vision, carefully managing organizational and human resource aspects, and thoroughly understanding the existing processes are important ingredients. Managing the uncertainty about the end state of the change process is a challenge.
